Development of Life Skills

Empowering Independence Through Life Skills Development

Managing and executing your everyday tasks and routine daily activities such as personal care, hygiene maintenance, cleaning, meal preparation, grocery shopping, etc. is a basic life skill that we develop from a very early age. However, for the NDIS participants and the people with disabilities, the execution of these activities can be one of the hardest and most challenging tasks that they have to learn in their lives. At Empowered for Ability, we adopt a person-centred approach to facilitate an individualized support plan that focuses on our NDIS client’s needs and wellbeing, which will help them to develop the essential life skills. Our support staff ensures to provide the necessary support services to the NDIS clients, so that they can learn the essential life skills and can achieve greater independence for themselves, thereby supporting their families and carers as well. The development of these basic life skills will further boost the self- confidence of the NDIS participants as they will develop a heightened sense of well-being and self-care.
